Raw materials

Strict quality for constant performance

Natural resources provide us with our raw materials. All materials used in production are selected under strict quality controls before being processed in our plants.

Seaweeds
All types of red seaweeds, grown in Europe, Asia, Africa, North and South America, are used to produce carrageenans. Various types of brown seaweed, sourced in France, Peru and Chile, are used for the production of alginates.

Apple pomace and citrus peels
For the manufacturing of pectins we use citrus from the Americas and Europe and apple pomace from Europe.

Seeds
Locust bean gum is produced from carob seeds, which we buy in Italy, Morocco, Portugal, Spain and Turkey.

Crude lecithin
The majority of our crude lecithin is received from Europe, North and South America.

Corn, wheat, potato and tapioca
Our wide portfolio of starches and starch derivatives is based on corn, wheat, potato and/or tapioca, sourced mainly in the local markets in which we have our production facilities.

Soy beans
Our soy flours are produced from soy beans which are mainly sourced from North and South America.
