Main applications
Thanks to its unique rheological properties, scleroglucan is used in a wide variety of technical applications. Two main grades are commercialized:
Native scleroglucan. Mainly used for
- Oil industry:
- Drilling muds
- Spacer fluids
- Asphalt emulsions
- Other technical uses:
- Adhesives
- Water color
- Printing inks
Refined scleroglucan mainly for cosmetics
Brand names
Scleroglucan is sold under the brand name ACTIGUM™ CS.
